Encouraging productive educational and innovative programs to enhance the success of our states' youth.


 Families First for Mississippi’s youth development programs focuses on making healthy choices, understanding consequences, and making positive decisions on goals and future plans. We offer classes, workshops, presentations, outreach activities, support groups, and peer monitoring programs to youth throughout the state.


Youth Development topics include:

  • Internet and social media safety education

  • Cyberbullying and bullying prevention programs

  • Healthy relationships and teen dating violence prevention

  • Character education

  • Drug and alcohol use prevention


Benefits of the youth development program include:

  • Higher graduation rates

  • Reduced dropout rates

  • Reduced negative peer pressure

  • Raise awareness of cyberbullying and teen suicide
